Customer Review: Join the Family
I'm sure experienced gamers can make all sorts of comparisons to the "Grand Theft Auto" games, but I've never played any of those for the simple reason I've never wanted to be a gangbanger. On the other hand, I have wanted to be part of the Corleone family, which is why I bought "The Godfather--The Game" the first weekend it was out.
The game is pretty easy to learn and there is the mandatory easy tutorial level where you figure out all the controls. From there you can either play the missions or get right to taking over rackets among the five neighborhoods or perform some contract hits.
The missions are primarily lifted from the movie, including helping a Family man cut off the movie producer's horse's head, planting the gun Michael uses to kill Serrannzo and the police chief, and whacking the heads of the other Families. There's also a story arc where your guy rises from an unknown through the ranks until he's Don of New York City. The missions are the most fun for just experiencing the movie.
The rackets, however, are the most fun in the game. Each neighborhood has a variety of businesses controlled by one of the five Families. Your job is to take over every racket for the Corleones by extorting the shopkeepers. "Negotiations" involve breaking furniture, intimidating the shop owner with your weapon, or just pummeling him/her until he/she caves in. There are guards scattered around each racket that you have to dispatch first. Where/when/how you take the rackets can involve clever strategems or sheer brute force. The warehouses/transport hubs of the other Families are the hardest rackets to take over and can take a number of tries.
The contract hits are good to pick up a little extra cash and respect points that are used to upgrade your skills. You get bonus points for creatively assassinating someone like bludgeoning him with a baseball bat, burning him up with a Moltov, or tossing him in a cremating oven.
Overall I found this game to be highly addictive once I got playing. But after a while some of the fun began to wear off. Once you've explored a neighborhood or two, you notice that just about everything is the same throughout the game. You even start to know instinctively where the guards are going to be. And after you've done all the missions, hits, and rackets there's nothing left to do. All you can do is cruise around New York robbing banks or randomly killing civilians. The fun of that wears off quickly.
The worst part about the game is the targeting system. The targeting system is too bulky and too slow to respond to new threats. Many times I screamed at the game, "I want to shoot the guy who's shooting ME, not that guy over there!" There's also no radar system or anything, so it can be tough sometimes to find where someone is shooting at you from, especially on a busy street. And of course it's easy for bad guys to get the drop on you in the middle of a fight. Realistic? Yes. Frustrating? Definitely.
[Also, as an aside, the "cheat" codes are a joke. I've yet to find an invincibility code or a code to give you a lot of money or all the weapons. The ones I have found only give you $5000 or full health once in a great while. I don't use cheat codes on the first run through, but later on I like to use them for when I just want unchecked mayhem.]
Other than those points, the game is a lot of fun and worth the money, especially if you are a fan of the movie. This is the closest you can get to being a part of the Family. To make the obligatory reference: this is an offer you can't refuse.

EZ Carry Floppy Seat - Shopping Cart Seat Cover (Blue)
For the baby who has everything
The Floppy Seat at first glance might seem like baby gear marketing gone wild. But once the savvy (and health-conscious) parent takes a look at the seats purpose, it begins to make perfect sense. Its a bright, cushy seat cover that fits over shopping cart seating areas and public highchairs. Not only is this a comfortable spot for baby to hang out while Mom or Dad is shopping or dining, the 360-degree fabric coverage also protects that orally fixated tot from the millions of germs on handles, sides, and backs of seats. The elastic perimeter expands to snugly fit any cart or seatand can even be installed with one hand. The Floppy Seat has its own safety belt that can be attached to the shopping cart to keep baby safe. When not in use, the seat folds into a built-in bag with convenient handles. Theres even a toy and bottle pocket! The whole shebang is machine washable, of course. --Emilie Coulter

We got one from my baby shower before I had my little angel. I'm thinking about returning it because that time I don't really need it but then my husband told me to keep it. It's so helpful specially when you don't know how dirty are the shopping carts and also the high chairs in the restaurant. This product is highly recommended, Great product!
