As you requested I deleted the files you uploaded for the site and uploaded all new files for your Niche Health Products Adsense Site

Thank God…upload went smooth and there’s no problem with the .htaccess file I mentioned.

OK….I uploaded a new set of files in the ocd folder….I renamed the original ocd-1….when ready you can delete it.

Now..this is important view your ocd site with your ftp client (Filezilla)

Probably the easiest thing for you to do is download each of these files:
!google_id.htm
!clickbank_id.htm

Now with those files on your computer OPEN THEM With NOTEPAD…..just add your google id and clickbank id respectively. Make sure you SAVE the files and then upload….your ftp client should ask if you want to write over the existing…say “yes”

After you’re done check out one of your pages in your browser and go to View—>Page Source and look to see if your google id and clickbank is showing up.

You need to do one more thing. Download the file named using filezilla or your ftp client:
!snippets1.txt

The file should be on your comuter just like you did for google and clickbank files. !snippets1.txt contains the snippets of content that are rotated once every day. There is also a clickbank link in each. So…you will open the file in Notepad….do a search and replace for my clickbank id ……bestebook…… and “replace all” with your clickbank id. I’m not sure how many times my clickbank id is in the file….anywhere between 20 and 50 times, maybe more…..you’ll see what I mean if you open the file. I’m assuming you have a Clickbank account…..if not get a free clickbank account.

Don’t forget to Save the file and use your ftp client to upload to your server and write over the existing file.

Everything else looks like it is working find…the rss feeds look good. You don’t have to do anything with the files involved to make this happen. Of course at some point you’re going to want to figure out how the things work

Also…you’ll be way ahead of others if you change the titles and subtitles. If you add some text to the content or change the existing you’ll be miles ahead.

Let me know if you have any other problems with the edits I mentioned above

I did change the google id manually. Wow, what a pain. I’m so glad to hear that I don’t need to do that every time. I did not upload the files that included the id’s. I just didn’t undersand what they did. I don’t know about the other php files.

I’ll try Filezilla and NVU. See if they help. In the meanwhile, that would be great if you could upload a fresh set of files.

I took a look at the pages on your uploaded site Niche Health Products Minisite for OCD.

The css file is there but it is empty….that means it somehow got corrupted in the upload.

Also there are small code snippets that are called php includes that are missing. They are used to add the rss feeds  and to automatically changed your google id. A php include looks like this without the dashes -<?php include(”!google_id.htm”); ?>-

Did you change your google id manually….in other words, did you change each one, on each page by hand or find and replace?

I would recommend using a free ftp program called Filezilla to upload your site. You could also try NVU for a free wysiwyg webpage editor. Just do a google search.

I’m not sure if Mozilla is corrupting your pages or exactly what the problem is, I really would think about investing Xsitepro.htm" target="_blank">XsitePro or Dreamweaver.htm" title="dreamweaver" target="_blank">Dreamweaver to edit your webpages.

As I said the file xsp_styles.css was uploaded and on your server but it was empty….the ftp program showed 0 bytes for the file size. So I uploaded the xsp_styles.css file again. You can see when looking at your site that the formatting is now there. The css file is what formats the site and is absolutely necessary.

There should also be rotating snippets of content in the middle of the page and rss news feeds at the bottom of the page, this is accomplished by the php includes which have somehow disappeared from your pages. Either you took them out or Mozilla might have taken them out.

PHP includes are also used to change your google id and clickbank id if it is used. You only need to change the ids in the following files:
!clickbank_id.htm
!google_id.htm

But…..in your case these files are missing which leads me to believe that you or someone else took them out, because I checked the download from my site and all the files are present.

Let me know if you understand what I’m talking about…make sure you check out your site so you can see the formatting. Also let me know what or if you changed anything in the original files.

If you want I could upload a fresh set of files to your site for ocd…that would overwrite everything and all the features should work…..there is one potential hurdle if we do this….the htaccess file might now work with your host. If it doesn’t work we can try some options or just write the host and tell them what we need.

Tips To Increase Website Traffic

All websites need visitors to be successful, but just getting any old traffic isn’t enough. To be really successful, you need targeted traffic (eg. visitors come to your website with the intention of buying, or performing a specific action like signing up for your ezine).

To increase targeted website traffic, careful planning is needed. Simply getting your website into search engines isn’t enough these days. Neither is buying a ton of email addresses and hoping enough people respond to an email blast. Those days are long gone.

Optimizing your website for search engines using the correct keywords is crucial. You want visitors to find your website after searching on the most important keywords related to your website.

Google and other search engines main goal is to display the most relevant search results for a given search term by ranking websites that have a tight theme relevance across the entire site.

If you set your website up the right way, when search engines find your website, they will know it is worth listing and index it right away.

Understanding Latent Semantic Indexing will be extremely important.
Now, you may consider adding a blog to your website to feed the search engines more content. Blog posts gets indexed quickly (search engines love them), so posting to a blog as often as possible is a great way to increase targeted web site traffic.

Likewise, RSS feeds are helpful too. RSS lets people know about the latest updates without them needing to seek out the information. Plus, since the content changes each and every day, you can count on receiving more frequent visits from search engine spiders.

Getting links to your website is also important. However, don’t go requesting them randomly all over the place. Choose websites that relate to your content as Google factors that in these days. Once again, focus on the theme of your website and choose link partners accordingly.

Optionally, quality links can also be gained from writing and submitting articles to websites like EzineArticles.com. There is even software to submit your aticles to hundreds of article directories in a matter of minutes.

Writing an article related to your website’s content will result in more visitors to your website and a nice boost in link popularity. This is one of the easiest and most affordable strategies you can do to get better results.

In summary, the key to succeeding in this new age of search falls on quality. Websites that provide useful and relevant content will succeed. Those webmasters that cut corners will most likely end up nowehere to be found in the search results.
