If you haven’t already noticed the latest craze for online marketing….let me bring you up to speed….it’s the creation of affiliate review websites.

The affiliate review concept is really simple, just grab 3 similar products and briefly discuss each one, include a picture and price and then a link back to the original product page. You can also make a single more detailed page for each product and to give your site a little more meet you can add some articles. Actually it’s a little more involved than that.

Chris Rampel has taken the review concept and perfected it. He calls his version of the affiliate review site “The Conduit” method and if you click on that link you’ll find out more about it.

For example, I have a “conduit” site that’s just over 2 months old (still a PR 0) and it’s already earned $5,061.84 in commissions – all from free, easy traffic. (4,151 visitors to be exact, at the time of writing this.)

These videos, Master the Gimp, show you how to use all the tools and when your done….you’ll be able to create your own simple header graphics, and other website graphics.

The first 2 versions are for XsitePro users. Version #1 is the simplest and consists of 10 articles. Use this version if you’re new to Xsite

Version #2 for the Xsite version consists of webpages that end in .php. This allows us to use things like:

-rss feeds

These features allow your webpages to display random content which helps to have webpages with fresh and changing content…good for the search engines. You can edit the article in Xsite as usual, however, the preview button doesn’t work because of the .php pages.

Versions #3 and #4 for those that don’t have XsitePro. You can use with Dreamweaver, Frontpage, NVU or just use an FTP program like Filezilla to upload ==================================================

Use this version if you prefer pages that end in .htm. This version has an .htaccess file so the various features that are php can be viewed with pages ending in .htm, the htacess file is already configured and should work with most hosting providers. (It will not work with Godaddy hosting)

This version has all the features of Version #2 above. The only file you have is “!google_id.htm”, all you must do is replace the publisher id that appears with your own id.

Feel free to edit any of the other files as you need or desire.

———- Version #4 ———-

The only difference between this version and Version #3 is that the pages end in .php, consequently there is no need for the .htaccess file. So if you can’t get #3 to work, this version should work fine.

Once again, the only file you have is “!google_id.htm”, all you must do is replace the publisher id that appears with your own id.

Since I introduced my new product, Gimp Graphics Video Tutorials I’ve run across people having a variety of problems when working with graphics.

A few days ago someone had a problem trying to add text to an image with photoshop. I know how difficult photoshop can be when first getting started, however, once you get the hang of it…things seem to go a little easier. Often times, a new photoshop user just needs a little encouragement Anyway, I had the following suggestions for him.

Surprisingly, Gimp Graphics Video Tutorials can teach you the basics of gimp, however, the techniques and tools are almost identical in photoshop.

I can appreciate your frustration with photoshop! I remember the first time I opened up photoshop 4 or 5 years ago….I couldn’t figure out how to even open an image. Then when I got an image to load, it was impossible trying to edit the image.

Then once you edit an image, you can never figure out how you created the effect…..so you might be able to do it again

Photoshop is a difficult program, however, once mastered it is unbelievably powerful. As with all quality programs, there is a steep learning curve. I would imagine most walk away from the task…..I encourage you to stick to it, sooner or latter you will get the hang of it.

I’ve found many tutorials just by doing a google search for “photoshop tricks” photoshop tutorials” “photoshop tips” and you’ll come up with a boatload of material, if necessary, add the word “free” to the beginnning of each of those phrases.

Since you are just starting out I think the most difficult thing is…..knowing what you need to know….so you need some very basic material.

I’m going to give you a url (no affiliate) of a site that has some great tutorials. Look for the tutorials that are for beginners or basic…..also, sign up for their newsletter and you’ll get a free lesson every week. I still get them and most of them very useful reminders. Here’s the link:

For anyone who reads this thread and runs across the word GIMP, you might be a bit confused. GIMP is a program that is open source, meaning FREE and is very similar to photoshop. Gimp will do many of the things that Photoshop will do. I will run photoshop actions, these are the programs that create ebook covers and it certainly will work for anyone wanting to create website graphics.

I ran into a person who had problems with website graphics. He was trying to add an image from a digital camera to his Xsitepro header image. Being new he was confused and I tried to give him some instruction on how to create website graphics the proper way.

Regarding your picture problem.

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to use images from your camera as background images for your header? If my assumption is correct, then you are making 2 basic errors.

If you were trying to put one image from your camera into the header graphic….it probably wouldn’t look very good first of all. Secondly, if you are taking the image directly from the camera, it is wayyyy too big to use on the web. The image has to be resized and optimized for fast loading on the web, I talked a little about the process here Working with Graphics

Your other major mistake is that most header graphics are composed of a collage of images and text which is created in an image editor such as photoshop or GIMP. So…you would be using an image for the header graphic, and you would define the webpage by the size of the header graphic. For instance if you created a 750 pixel by 175 pixel header graphic, the webpage would be 750 pixels wide. There are exceptions but this is a general rule.

So, if would benefit you to learn how to create a basic header graphic. You can get a free easy to use image editor and a couple video tutorials on how to work with header graphics here: Free Header Graphic Tutorial

Create Products Quickly

Did you know that product creation can be very easy to do….there’s no magic behind it once you learn how. Product creation can be accomplished in a variety of ways. First you need a bit of creativity and then the formula to put it together and overnight you can have a product making some cash without much effort at all.

In writing this article I am presuming that you already have targeted a niche and verified that there are people that out there who are buying products in this niche. Market research is so very important, if you haven’t determined your niche is a profitable one, then go back and start your research. So without further ado here are some really easy and fast ways of creating quality products fast.

Product Creation Method No.1 – Do An Interview With An Expert

Obviously this method is self explanatory. Find an expert in your field and put together a series of questions and send them to your expert asking if they would be willing the be the “Expert” in the new book you’re writing. Record this interview and have it converted into an MP3 using some free software such as Audacity. Next you will want to send you mp3 to a transcription service such as www.castingwords.com so the audio can be transcribed into print. When the transcription comes back it will probably be in a Word .doc which you can edit further by putting your links on the pages and why not add some advertising…I could go on, but you get the picture. Finally convert your document into a PDF, you can use OpenOffice software, its free and has an excellent pdf conversion program. That’s it, you now have 2 products. You can promote one and have the other available as an upsell. You could give away one and market the other. Easy, huh?

Production Creation Method No.2 – Write An Informative Short Report

In the process of creation Reports you will become a fast and accurate researcher. Everybody has problems, pick one that you notice everyone has and do some research for different solutions to that problem. Write up a short report on this of about 7-15 pages and sell it at a price point of roughly $7.00. Do some forum posts(Don’t Spam) on the topic and then you should be able to make some nice sales quite quickly.

Quality Product Creator Number 2 ——Make a Quick Video Series

Following pretty much the same method as in Method No.2 only this time take your expertise and put it into a set of videos. You can put together screen captures using a free version of Camtasia and/or a product called CamStudioPro which is available for free or up to $30. People like to watch video and these programs are easy to use, some of them will automatically redirect to an affiliate link if you desire at the end of the video. Since people like videos and think they are more expensive to make, you are able to charge more for your videos!

Well there you have it! 3 easys ways to create profitable products easily and quickly. Get to work!

When developing products I’ve found a website called SmallReports to be extremely helpful. First you don’t have to start by writing a 100 page ebook or any other complex product. If you create a guide, it can very concise with valuable information…not junk. The book could be priced at an affordable price, under $10 or you might even want to use it to build your list by giving it away. Also there is the famous 7 dollar script which can be configured to pay all the profits to your affiliate, thereby, getting your name out and building a huge list.
