Backlinks (otherwise referred to as “incoming links”) are links that originate from another website and link to your website. Obtaining backlinks is one of the most important steps you need to take in order to raise your search engine ranking. It’s also important to know that the quality (relevance and ranking) of the links that come to your will affect your score. A link popularity campaign is a way to attract more links to your website.

There are many ways to go about getting backlinks. One of them is by posting another website’s link on your website. Make sure that you are posting something that is truly relevant to your website content and preferably links back to a site that is highly ranked by the search engines. When you do this, the owner of the site you post will likely also place your site on his website. This is called “reciprocal linking” and, while it’s better than no linking at all, you don’t want to have only reciprocal links. First of all, they are not as effective as one-way links, and second of all, you are giving your website visitors the opportunity to click off of your site and on to something else.

In order to get one-way links, you can buy them from a link building service, ask for them from other webmasters, or create exceptional content that others will naturally want to link to in order to provide more value to their visitors. Exceptional content is the key to natural link building. However, you may need to use other methods to push your link popularity campaign alone a little bit.

It’s also very important to regularly monitor your website’s link popularity. This can be done quickly and easily with a number of free online tools. You always want to have an idea of where your website stands, what strategies are working for you and which one’s aren’t.

Finally, this may seem obvious but if you are committed to link building, you need to continuously put your web site link in front of people. This doesn’t mean that you need to be spammy or overly promotional. But find outlets where you can offer advice, provide solutions or bring up questions about the business that you are in. And include your link whenever you participate. This will create interest and links if you are participating in the right way.

These are just two examples but titles like this offer perfect linking solutions for other webmasters.

Oh it works alright. It’s a plugin FOR wordpress. And just wondering how can installing a plugin that basically hides duplicate content help you increase your serps? I can say that you can use ezine articles and post it as content on your site with this plugin and not get penalized for duplicate content since it incoporates symbols.

So this sentence in coding looks like s#o# t#h#i#s #s#e#n#t#e#n#c#e
but to readers it looks like plain text. It’s a very nice plugin i use it for micro niche sites. I take articles from ezine and plop it on my page till it starts rakin in cash then i outsource articles to replace it.

I can say this worked for me. I had an autoblog that wasn’t doing anything but collecting posts and it had nearly zero traffic. A couple weeks ago I put this plugin into it and figured what the hell, I went ahead and changed all 250 or so posts. Suddenly a few days later it started getting hits on search terms from the serps. I don’t know how it works but I can say it helped breathe a little life back into a dead site. I wouldn’t call it a miracle plugin either, but any traffic is better than a stale autoblog.

I got it a couple of months ago. Used it on some obscure disposable adsense type sites with some trepidation.

I was shocked. Got great results, a lot of page 1 for some long tail keywords. And the results appeared within hours of the post.

I was using Auto Social Poster, a wp plugin. Didn’t do anything else.

Someone mentioned ezinearticles. WpUnique really does work wonders with reprint and plr crap.

Find an article one ezinearticles thats on page one. Post that article exactly as found at ezinearticles. If you bookmark the post…..then you’ll find your article/post directly beneath or on top of the original ezine article.

I’m using it on one blog that is an old internet marketing related blog, I get an IM PLR article a day and use wpunique to post the article. I’m usualy the only one to be found on google for the original article title.

However, my traffic to that blog seems to have slipped by about 25% over the last week or two…..don’t know if its from the wpunique plugin or not.

I wouldn’t hesitate to use it on a new blog…..but if it’s something you want to baby and keep around for a while, I think I might think twice.

How long can G let a simple trick like this get by So…my review of wpunique would be to get in now!!!

You will see the results further down where it shows you your “Inlinks”. Just click on this tab and you will see the details about the links that are coming to you. If you want to filter the results even further to make sure you are viewing only the links from other websites (and not within your own), then just click on the drop-down menu that says “from all pages” and change it to “except from this domain”. Now you will see all of the links that are coming to you. You can play around with the other drop-down options as well.

So that’s how you can do a very general backlink check on Yahoo. To get more detail on the links, just click on each item and check the keywords that are being linked to – this can also give you more information about what keywords are working well and more popular and how to go about your future link building efforts.

You want to get a quality service so make sure you do your research in order to get the most bang for your buck. While many link-building tools are free, link building services are definitely not. However, what they save you in time and effort could very much be worth it in terms of cash.

By all means, take advantage of a link popularity tool and then decide if you plan to go as far as to hire someone else to handle your backlink strategy.

I was cruising through forum and on this particular post they were looking for wp robot reviews. I found it really interesting to see how others were succeeding with wp robot. Wp Robot is quickly becoming the wordpress plugin of choice when it comes to adding content to your blog automatically. Autoblogging is becoming more and more popular and more and more complicated. Well, for me. I have made about 9 sales from amazon last month = 9$ lol This month from amazon 2500 clicks 0 sales. :/ but from Clickbank I made one sale last month worth 52$. But hey that’s and extra 61$ doing absolutely nothing just setting up Wp-Robot and letting it run. that’s on top of the money I make from my CPA sites. So overall it’s a good program. Just wish the CB ads were a bit longer.

I have been using WP Robot for a few days for posting amazon products and it works great. I have the other options checked as well (articles, clickbank, youtube) but they don’t seem to work. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

for all those that have mentioned duplicate content causing google bans on either adsense or getting deindexed or slapped etc i would just like to say its absolute bollox…i have an autoblog that is almost all dupe content it is getting around 300 uv every hour is indexed by google news (hense the traffic) and has never been slapped, banned what ever…i even told google it was an aggregate when i applied for g news and they even mentioned it in their follow on emails

What are paid backlinks? Incoming links, to your site, are what all of the search engines use as a criteria to define whether your website is worth listing high in their results or not. So, in very basic terms, if you have a lot of backlinks, you will be ranked highly with the search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc).

A backlink is just a link from another website or web page to your website or your page. The reason that the search engines use this as a measuring tool is because they “feel” that if your site is worth being linked to by another site, then your site must be worthwhile. There is a lot more that could be said about that but again, in a nutshell, it all comes down to this: the more websites that you have linking to your website, and the better quality the links (meaning, the more relevant the links are to your website), the higher you will rank in the search engines.

But building links yourself is a tedious, long and continuous process. So, not too long ago, people were very comfortable with paying a service to provide them with a backlink. But it didn’t take Google too long to figure out that this was happening and paid linking services started being penalized.

So now the rules are different. Google does allow you to buy links but they will put your links through the ringer to make sure you follow their guidelines. What this means for you is that you’ve got to buy links from sites that do adhere to Google’s constantly changing guidelines. If you are buying backlinks just for traffic, you will be able to follow the google guidelines. But if you are buying them to increase the SEO of your sight, then you should probably hold on to your money since the search engines only allow no-follow links.

However, while paid backlinks may not be the way to go, there are a number of incoming link services that you can choose to use rather than just outright buying backlinks. These services will actually do the link-building work for you rather than just selling you the links. Different services offer different features so just make sure that you do the proper amount of research to establish those that are really working the right way and keeping one step ahead of the search engine rules and regulations.
