1. Know your customer. The more you know about your customer, the better. What are their problems? What are their current solutions? How can you help them? What do you know about their business? 2. Get to the point. Imagine you are meeting with your prospective customer at their place of business. You may start with a bit of small talk, but you wouldn’t linger on it. Which Autoresponder

Although I’ve used many different autoresponders, my favorite autoresponder is Aweber. Someone was wondering about autoresponders as asked below:

Are there any FREE Aweber alternatives, for the sole purpose of not paying a dime to do the same thing?

My Comment:

Just google free autoresponder.

But…. I went that route about 6 years ago. I built a list of around 5000 double optin. It was a good list and made me money. It was a self hosted script on my domain. First think I noticed was my delivery rate started going down.  Finally, delivery was anywhere from 40% to 60% …I was told because I was on a shared hosting account.

Here’s the worse part. My hosting account contacted me and told me they were going to be moving my account to another server. They made backups but my account really wouldn’t be down at all.

4 days latter it was confirmed. My entire site was wiped out. the backup was corrupted and I was the only one that lost everything. I had some backups but I didn’t have a backup of my autoresponder database so I lost my first profitable list…. I never did rebuild that list.

So…… if you want an autoresponder to build a list and make money with it….. invest in a solid reliable service like aweber. Otherwise I can almost guarantee you’ll be wasting your time. Trying to transfer a built up list to someplace like Aweber ends up in about a 50% drop in subscribers…… either way you are screwed so fork over the cash and start out the right way.

Most people do not even have an email marketing strategy and may not even include it in their marketing arsenal. Email can be a very important part of keeping your business healthy and you wealthy.

An interesting fact about email is how fast it became a normal from of communication. Fifteen years ago, many people had not ever heard of email let alone even used it. Now, just about everyone has an email address and for some it is the most popular form of communicating. The many benefits of email include: instant gratification, it’s fast, it’s free and it is a great diversion while at work.

The same people that read your email, may actually forward that email so if you are lacking the website link, you may be missing out on a viral marketing opportunity.

Your next step is to sign up with an autoresponder service. This is a relatively low cost and easy way to collect email addresses and manage the list of customers who want to hear from you.

The autoresponder allows you to create a mailing list so that you can send personalized emails to your customers. Building a mailing list is done by adding an email capture form to your website. Then you can send people to the website and offer a free report or coupon in exchange for them providing their email to you. The autoresponder service will provide the html code to add to your website, or you could have your webmaster add it. It is a quick five minute job.

Once you have your autoresponder service setup and your current and potential customers opting in to your list, you will need to talk to them. Do not just try to sell to them. Give them a reason to want to continue doing business with them. You could offer special bonuses and advice. This is probably the simplest email marketing strategy available. It should take less than an hour to set it up. Your customers and business will thank you.

An autoresponder is one of the great inventions that the Internet has given to us. However it is only as good as you effectively use it. In this article we will take a look at a few things you can do to maximize the use of your autoresponder.

First of all you should keep in mind that you are building a list of people that can pay you back many times over in the future. Your autoresponder is an easy place to store names and e-mail addresses for future follow up. If you properly use it this can to continue to work as helping you build as large of a list of possible.

The next thing to keep in mind regarding your autoresponder is building relationships with your subscribers. Your ability to view these people as more than a name and e-mail address is paramount to your success.

One way to do this is put the emphasis on building relationships with them. You do this by addressing their needs and communicating with them beyond the normal selling focus.

There are multiple ways to develop relationships and build a list with an autoresponder. One thing you can do is put a sign up for them on every webpage and blog page that you build. Put these above the fold where people can see them and make it easy for them to subscribe.
