If you are involved in internet marketing in any way, shape or form, you need to know Web SEO PPC and how they work together. SEO is the acronym for Search Engine Optimization which, in layman’s terms, means making sure that whatever it is you are advertising ranks high in the search engines (like google, yahoo and msn) so that potential customers can find your business. PPC is the acronym for Pay Per Click which is one form of advertising that you can do on the internet.

Let’s define Search Engine Optimization more clearly. When anyone does a search for information on the internet, they type in words to their preferred search engine like Google, Yahoo or Msn. The words that people are typing in are called keywords or keyword phrases. All of these keywords are tracked, so the search engines know how many times a keyword or keyword phrase is typed each month. And the search engines provide these numbers for you for free (or you can buy many keyword tools that offer more detailed and organized information). when you are doing your advertising on the internet, you’ll need to know what keywords people are typing in so that you can include them in your ads.

If you are advertising by writing articles about your business, the keywords must be placed in specific locations and quantities in your article. If you want your website to come up in the search engines, you also must make sure that you are using these keywords correctly. The proper use of keywords is one part of excellent SEO. The other main part is having links to your site or articles. If you have another high-traffic, high-quality site that links to your site, then your ranking goes up in the search engines. If you are using your keywords correctly and obtaining enough quality links to your site, when someone does a search on the internet for something related to your business, you will be more likely to come up somewhere on the first page of results. This guarantees you more traffic for your business.

The next vital component in Web SEO PPC is the PPC (Pay Per Click). Pay Per Click is a form of web advertising. With this form of promotion, you write a small advertisement that targets one or several specific keywords that are related to your business. You will make a bid on whatever keyword(s) you choose. When someone does a search for that keyword, your ad will come up on the right-hand side of the screen. Where your ad is positioned depends on how much you have bid for the keyword. If someone clicks on your ad, you will pay the amount that you bid. This is an extremely effective way of advertising because you only pay when you get results.

Understanding Web SEO PPC is a must if you plot to market your business online.

Thoughts on Niche Profit Classroom

Niche Profit Classroom is a monthly membership that I belong to that provides 2 niche packages per month. That’s nothing new or exciting since there are many memberships offering PLR materials on a monthly basis. The difference with NPC is, the materials are high quality and well written materials. Maybe the best part is the systematic approach they have for getting your sites set up, developing traffic, building a list and selling your ebook.  The teaching, in the form of videos, monthly calls and forums is better than most….in fact, it’s one of the best I’ve experienced.

I do have a bad taste in my mouth from NPC. The founders, Adam and Allen are no place to be found. If I become part of a membership, the reason usually revolves around those who own it, sell it and work it! However, based on my experience, you’ll never talk to them or have access to them. They’re never in the forum. Their affiliate system just  plain sucks and their affiliate support sucks…..of course they claim they’re having problems, but I’ve never seen an email from any of the owners….just some affiliate support people. I’ve been trying for 3 weeks to get my affiliate account straightened out and trying to get my payments…..no luck yet!

This lack of personal touch is something that almost always happens when a program experiences success. Before a program becomes successful the owners practically beg you to get involved, you can talk to them and have full access to their email, voice and advice. As time goes on and the program becomes successful, the first thing that goes is their email address. They change their email address to a “NO Rely”, I really just hate that…….use every sales trick possible and then cut off contact with your members……..so….here we have a business that wants you to pay monthly for access to them and their expertise but they don’t want to be bothered by emails.

Next, the owners remove themselves from the day to day operations and hire an affiliate manager or tell a handful of members that they are the “Designated Forum Mangers”…..again, you read a salespage that offered you the best product and product service since sliced bread….next, they have some success, they like the money but don’t want to deal with any of the members…..you know, too many questions….just too many problems.

Back assward approach to doing business if you ask me!

Despite the problems and my obvious aggravation at the moment, I still would recommend Niche Profit Classroom to anyone interested in learning about Niche Marketing. Heck, that affiliate link you just saw….I don’t even know if the stupid thing works!…..because, I can’t get timely support from their affiliate manager. Still, I suggest you give NPC a shot if you want to learn about niche marketing and how to find a niche, pick a niche and then develop it with your own book…..because their system is really second to none. It could be that you would learn everything you need in a month, maybe 2 months or you could decide to try using the programs available. There really is a ton of content, as much as I despise their support, the content and tools are excellent. If you stay long enough to learn and understand the core concepts of niche marketing you’ll be way ahead of everyone else…..in particular, their teaching and tools on keyword research are the best I’ve seen to date.

Anyway, I wanted to share one of my responses over at NPC.

One of the members at Niche Profits Classroom was wondering about a new site he set up. I couldn’t help but make a few comments:

I’ve finished my herb gardening site. It’s found at

www.herbgardeningsecrets.org

Please have a look, and put it into your listings. Any feedback would be welcome.

Thanks.

Hi Danny

Nice looking site….I like your header image.

If I may, I’d like to comment on your background color. I have a 21 inch screen, most people have larger screens these days so one sees a lot of background when looking at a salespage.

Your fluorescent green color is really hard to look at….at least for me. I would consider toning it down a little. Notice how the gray background on this forum page isn’t overwhelming.

Regarding your traffic.

I assume you submitted articles to ezinearticles.com and the articles on your site aren’t duplicate. I see you don’t have any secondary or additional articles. New “unique” Content always attracts more traffic. So…try adding an article a week! If you have time, rewrite that article and submit it to the article directories.

I’m new to NPC, however, I’ve been doing this for quite a while. So please consider my advice just my thoughts and do with them whatever you feel necessary.

I think the niche packs from NPC are nicely put together, however, there are a lot of other people doing the same thing you are. I just finished putting up a train site, and upon doing some keyword research I was surprised to see how many NPC packs were out there competing for the same keywords. I agree with our elusive leaders, Adam and Allen…that most people won’t take action. However, maybe due to our economic times, I find my field very competitive…even for the so called “money words”

Again, just my opinion, in order to get the action you want on the “money words’ you are using, you are going to have to do more than just submit a few articles. You need backlinks….the more the better.

You can get some pretty decent backlinks by setting up some web 2.0 properties, such as Hub pages, Squidoo, Blogger and Wordpress.com. These are free, I reuse my existing content (articles)….which isn’t the best way…..but I get some links pointing back to my site. Don’t spend a lot of time on these sites because they are normally figured as throw away sites when you use them for this purpose.

Something else you might want to consider is to go over the the warriorforum.com and go to the WSO section, stands for Warrior Special Offers, and look for people offering links packages. You can find some pretty nice backlink packages for a variety of prices…..but it will help you jump start your site. If it works, purchasing more packages.

I guess my point is, if you want traffic to your NPC site, you will need to consistently work on driving traffic to that site. I know for a fact that these sites have to “age”, that is, over time Google will look differently if there is some sort of consistent work being done on the site over the next year.

Hope I didn’t ramble too much….and wish you much success,

Scott
