Are you as tired of internet marketing guru’s as I am?

I’ve been getting so many promotions these days……I’ve literally stopped opening everything. I know….”you should unsubscribe”, good advice but I like to keep current with the latest trends in internet marketing and some of those so called guru’s will actually have something good to say every now and again. But lately, it’s just been “buy this” “click here” “limited” and on and on.

Maybe it’s related to today’s economic situation. People are hurting everywhere. Maybe the guru’s are hurting too. I just get so sick and tired of their childish subject lines:

-server went out…offer extended
-wrong link…here it is again
-paypal down…offer extended again
-you’re a dummy
-last chance before I close this
-limited copies available .(come on, their digital)
-price increases every sale
-I’m quitting
-this guy made 10 million

I could go on, but I’m sure you know what I mean.

These guys must be preying on the newbies. People on their last dollar….looking to turn things around, maybe trying to get involved in the great internet revolution and start making millions…..of course, I’m being facisious.

If you are a newbie, take heart.

First, you really don’t need all the crap everyone is trying to sell you. The little known real secret is that these guys are getting rich by selling common products and procedures to new folks like you. They don’t actually use the stuff, and they still claim they’re making millions online. Truth is, you are the ones making them rich.

Of course not every so called marketer is a crook….there are some real ones.

It will take you a while to figure out what is BS and what isn’t, there’s really no way around it other than actually getting started and getting involved with internet marketing. Sign up for different newsletters and read their stuff, but resist the urge to buy…..it’s pretty tough to resist because they use every copywriting pychological trick there is! But you can learn a lot from what and how they sell things. Read their emails and salespages.

I’d tell you to google “product reviews” but these are typicall nothing more than attempts to get you to purchase on product or the other and both are using affiliate links. Most times their reviews are dishonest at best and plain lies at worse, these reviewers typically never purchased the product but write as if they did….so be careful when checking out reviews.

You can get some pretty good advice from the Warrior Forum or Earn1KaDay Forum, and lately I’ve been looking around a forum called BlackHatWorld.com and they deal with blackhat stuff….but you’ll find the most honest reviews on the net….worse case you can post a question about a product.

If you are newbie I would suggest these are some of the basic things you need to know:

-how to build a webpage
-understand search engine optimization
-understand keywords and keyword research
-find out how to locate a profitable niche

Your temptation will be to start selling “internet marketing stuff”….resist this because it will delay any chance of you earning money. There are so many people selling “how to get rich online” stuff that it is next to impossible to enter this market and start making money.

Here’s the key to success for making money online. Find a niche that buys and a consumes a product. Understand what the numbers have to be for this niche to be successful. Develop a product for that niche and focus your efforts on selling that product. Next….start all over again. That’s right, create your own personal collect of niche products and market and sell them.

One easy way to do this is to join a membership called Niche Profit Classroom. You’ll learn everything you need to start your own niche marketing business. I was a member of the original Nicheology Membership by Jimmy D Brown. This was before everybody and their brother was doing memberships and certainly before everybody and their brother produced and sold PLR materials in the form of a monthly product! Jimmy cranked out some very good material and I faithfully created monthly products that still produce sales today. As the found of Nicheology, Jimmy D Brown, was an excellent teacher and provided quality blueprints for getting your products online and making sales!

I stayed with Jimmy for years, I got busy and didn’t notice that there was apparently a rift between a partner he picked up by the name Ryan Deiss. He was a relatively unknown at the time and I believe Jimmy took him under wing and somehow they let the Nicheology Membership fall apart….at least in my opinion. I still maintained my membership but didn’t download products. I lost interest because you could tell something was going on. In fact, there was another sale of the membership and I didn’t know about it. Still my paypal account was charged….seems to me about a year. So to make a long story short, I paid for the nicheology membership for a year or so, never downloaded the products and was never reimbursed my monthly fees. I was really disappointed at the lack of response and help for getting my money back, but I did ignore the account for a year….even so, very poor support on their part.

Needless to say, I was pretty put off by the entire mess. I trusted Jimmy, even though the money went to him I wasn’t able to get my cash back. So I canceled and never opened an Nicheology email again. I started off my internet marketing ventures with Jimmy D Brown products and would still recommend him to anyone without hesitation…..I can only assume he didn’t get my email or his affiliate manager didn’t relay my situation to him or the partnership change caused my situation to be set on the back burner…..anyway, at the time I was miffed!

So….for the last year or two….maybe more, I ignored anything from Nicheology.

Well…..finally….I did open an email from Nicheology today to see what was going on with the membership and I was completely shocked! Seems as though the only person I harmed by not checking out the new Nicheology was myself

Seems a fellow by the name of Paul Evans is the new owner and he has really ramped up the membership. I’m going to check it out for myself to see if it really is all they say, sure looks good though. I would recommend you take a look if you’re interested in getting started on developing an online business!

I’ll report back, once I find out a little more on what’s going on with Nicheology!

I have a membership over at Niche Profit Classroom. They have an excellent program for developing various niche topics and monetizing these niches by either your own custom program or another way is through affiliate sales. Anyway, you can grab a membership for a couple of months and learn just about everything you need to learn about niche marketing…..some of the best teaching on niche marketing I’ve seen to date.

I was browsing through the NPC forum and noticed one of the members was wondering if they should list categories on their blog….anyway, I gave him my 2 cents

Duplicate content issues do come up when using categories or archives, however, there are pluins that can help eliminate the dup content issue.

As internet marketers I think we can get too tied up with the issues of duplicate content and we have to first ask ourselves who our customers or visitors are.

Chances are, the people who visit your website have no idea what internet marketing is or what duplicate content is…..they just want a solution to their problem.

They landed on your site.

They are looking for answers.

If you have a site with muliple categories, in my opinion, you really should list them. Have you ever landed on a wordpress blog and had no idea how to get to the next article or find out what else is on the blog?

Having categores listed tends to keep visitors on your site for a longer period of time.

Imagine you had a site on tomatoes, with 4 categories.

-how to grow early producing tomatoes
-starting your plants early
-the best cherry tomatoes
-identifying and killing pests

If the visitor search for “early producing tomatoes” and landed on one of your articles, he would be finished if he didn’t know what was on your site.

However, if you had the categories listed in the sidebar, you have 3 other tomatoe problems he could be interested in. In other words, “Categories” is an additional method of navigation, since most web surfers don’t know the difference, or care whether a site is static or a blog….they just want answers to their questions and categories or bread crumbs is an excellent way to give that visitor an idea of what is one your site.

If you only have 5 or 10 articles, all dealing with the same subject….then it wouldn’t be necessary to include categories.

I’m not sure if they promoted multiple categories with the NPC model, however, adding more content to your site attracts traffic and I would at least try it out on one of your sites.

If you do categories with the NPC theme, somehow it limits the category to pull up 5 articles. It would be nice to know how to remedy this.

I’ve been in the forum, trying to see if there is any personal contact with the owners…..still nothing. However, if seems like there are a lot of newbie types working their way through the process of taking the provided materials and getting a website uploaded and working.

Sometimes it’s difficult to remember how difficult it can be for a newbie to get started online. There’s so much to learn and understand. Usually when you’re new to the whole internet marketing thing you become very vulnerable to all the claims of “make money online” or “simple as 123″ maybe “get online fast”……so, when I looked in the forum I could tell there were a lot of newbie types struggling to make there way through the process of Niche Marketing.

The entire process of Niche Marketing isn’t one of those concepts or processes that can be accomplished overnight! There’s much to learn and unless you’re ready to pay someone to help you understand the entire process it simply is going to take some time of studying and applying before you become competent in developing any niche and are able to profit from it. Niche Profit Classroom has all the systems in place to help you with the process….probably the best I’ve seen to day, however, if you’re new to online marketing please don’t think you can pay for a month’s worth of the membership and start selling products. You’ll spend much of your time watching the videos and studying the materials in an attempt to understand the concept of Niche Marketing. Think of it as being similar to taking an advanced college course. Better yet, think of it as trying to get a college degree in one specific subject, area or discipline because of the amount of information you will need to become competent at.

One area that you’ll need to deal with is graphics. They have a couple of videos dealing with your website graphics and book covers. They even provide generic header graphics and book covers. You could probably even get away with using these graphics, however, you’ll really to create a unique website…..something that is different than everyone else. One way to set your website apart is by creating custom graphics. Most newbies will not be able to create custom graphics and will have to hire someone such as the folks at www.spGraphic.com

Here’s the same site with a custom header graphic…..in my opinion changing this graphic is very important in order to differentiate your website from all the rest! Most internet surfers have viewed enough websites so that they can immediately tell whether a website some homegrown site or a professional quality type site. Graphics really do make a difference when it comes to website stickiness, how long the visitor stays and whether they make a purchase or not.

I really like what the folks at Niche Profit Classroom have put together, however, in my opinion changing the graphics is just as important as rewriting plr articles. As in any membership only a small percentage will actually take action and start uploading websites using all the material provided, however, it is imperative to change the look of your site so it doesn’t look like all the other sites.  Looking at the 2 screen shots above you can see that the 2 header graphics are vastly different and the first one, provided by NPC, looks terrible and is the poorest excuse for a header graphic that I’ve seen.

NPC provides the .psd image which means that you can edit the graphic in Photoshop or GIMP, but I’d just start from scratch and create something totally different. In fact, I’ll go so far as to say that the membership should be providing graphics of much better quality. The stuff they provide is garbage and since they claim to have many members, they surely can afford to pay for some decent graphics!

Even though their graphics suck, the membership at Niche Profit Classroom is well worth the money. Their knowledge of Niche Marketing is second to no one I’ve run across online.

I wanted to promote Niche Profit Classroom a couple of months ago so I joined to see what it was all about.  Been working on trying to implement their system along with digesting the information they promote…. On top of that I’m trying to finish 2 special Xsitepro website templates, some graphics and an e-commerce site. Then my monitor went out along with my headphone jack being jerked out of the computer and destroyed….. One more thing, yes, I’ve been dealing with debilitating health circumstances.

So yes, I’ve been busy and consumed. Too many projects and not enough hours in a day….that’s my problem!

Better to be busy though, my cable connection also went out for a while and I was unable to get online. I never realized how fortunate I am to be able to have an alternative method of making money. My illness keeps me house bound and without the opportunity to work online I would have jumped out of the window a long time ago….the first floor window that is…

Anyway Niche Profit Classroom is turning out to be one of the best online memberships I’ve joined to date, primarily because they have developed a process called Niche Marketing 2.0. There are other good ones that I belong to, but NPC is very specific in regards to focusing on Niche Marketing and it’s deep, I mean really deep. For the first time in my life I’m working on setting up a site according to someone else’s explicit directions…..ok I’ve customized a little . But I want to see how their system works and if it will really do as advertised.

I haven’t done a full blown review of Niche Profit Classroom yet because I’m still working on testing their systems and implementing their processes. From what I’ve seen so far I can very strongly recommend that you join this membership. The two guys who own the membership are Allen and Adam, can’t remember their last names but they seem to have the ability to teach and have put together a system that is more complete than any other I’ve seen to date. If I have any complaints, it would be that Adam and Allen aren’t around to ask questions…..although they have a full support system and forum where questions are always answered, I haven’t seen either of these guys get involved…..I guess that’s what happens when your projects become successful.

Niche Marketing for Dummies by Niche Profit Classroom

Wow…I had a peek at the Niche Profit Classroom and I was really impressed. Niche marketing has really advanced in the last couple of years. I remember taking Frank Kern’s and Ed Dale’s Niche Marketing Membership and I think it was around $500 a month….these guys had some good ideas and revolutionary for the time….but those guys can’t hold a candle to NicheProfitClassroom!

I listened to a webinar with the owners Adam and Alen and was really impressed for the first time in a long time. Internet Marketing memberships pop up like spring flowers in all their beauty and grandeur only to wilt and shrivel up after a couple months time. These guys are obviously doing something right, in fact the free webinar they hosted revealed more strategies and tactics than many paid events I attended in the past. They revealed how they use the “Book for Dummies” series to research markets and create money making niche products.

I say all this to make a point. Niche Profit Classroom is the real deal. If you’ve been trying to figure out how to make an income online these guys walk you right through the process. Based on the information they shared I would have to say they have a very real understanding of keywords and keyword analysis for getting free Google traffic…..not only that, but they revealed exactly how they research a Niche Market, then determine it’s viability and then they even gave us their recipe for creating a niche product that will actually sell…….although you could create the product yourself, they encourage you to outsource. They even shared their outsourcing resources…..better yet, they revealed how they divide the outsourcing into niche research, and then niche product….this may not make sense but it’s a 2 step process they use to get their products reasearched and created through outsourcing…..and I won’t even tell you how cheap it is!

How many times have you joined a plr membership where the owners provide 2 products a month, books, articles, keywords, videos, otpin pages, website templates and blog templates…..all real good stuff, right? WRONG….their keyword research and niche research is done more by whim than a process that is guaranteed to produce results. It’s done partially by using the “Computers for Dummies” type books.

So…they actually provide you with a couple products each month and a ton of goodies to go with them. An active forum, access to the owners and what seems to me a very real willingness to see you succeed.
