When you’re trying to figure out how to get traffic to your web content, there are a lot of options to evaluate. And it’s important that you pick the ones that go well with the product/service you are offering and the target audience for that product/service. Using Ezines to promote your products is a fantastic way to hit the right audience because there is an ezine for every niche possible. There are even ezines about ezines! If you want to save a lot of time doing your own research for the possible ezines to fit your niche, you can use ezine directories.

In case you’re unfamiliar with ezines, they are basically a newsletter that is sent out to a subscriber list who has confirmed interest in receiving them. If you find one that matches what your business offers, you are guaranteed a qualified audience to advertise to. The best way to reach this audience is by placing what is called an Ezine Solo Ad. This basically means that the producer of the ezine will send out your text ad to his/her audience for a price. In order to find the right ezines, you can go through ezine directories and do a search for the keywords or keyword phrases that represent your business to find a targeted ezine that you can advertise in.

Here are a few of the many directories that you can take a look at:

New-List offers a wide variety of general categories and thousands of thousands of specific newsletters to choose from within these categories.

Ezine Search allows you to type in the general category that pertains to your business, a description and some keywords. Once you’ve entered this information, you are taken to the results of your search and can get more information about what each ezine offers, the size of its mailing list, the frequency of the mailings, etc.

Best Ezines has thousands of ezines to display along with reviews and complete information about each ezine including the target audience, frequency of the newsletter, tags and how many times the ezine has been viewed.

Ezine Directory offers an impressive list of ezines within a fair number of topics but does not provide you with the details on each. In any case, it is always better to contact the publisher of an ezine directly to verify statistics, price, etc. of the ezine.

Jogena’s eZine Directory offers both a listing of ezines and a listing of e-books, which is a nice twist. This site is very well-done and offers a great deal of information on both topics, in a way that is clear and easy to understand.

The Directory of Ezines is actually a paid service but well-worth the investment necessary. Not only does this site offer you an extremely detailed profile of all the different ezines, the owner, Charlie Page, actually also offers you one on one consulting on how to use his service as well as other ezines.

Hopefully these Ezine directories will hold some of the information you’re looking for!

Nicheology A Classic In Niche Products

I was a member of the original Nicheology Membership by Jimmy D Brown. This was before everybody and their brother was doing memberships and certainly before everybody and their brother produced and sold PLR materials in the form of a monthly product! Jimmy cranked out some very good material and I faithfully created monthly products that still produce sales today. As the found of Nicheology, Jimmy D Brown, was an excellent teacher and provided quality blueprints for getting your products online and making sales!

I stayed with Jimmy for years, I got busy and didn’t notice that there was apparently a rift between a partner he picked up by the name Ryan Deiss. He was a relatively unknown at the time and I believe Jimmy took him under wing and somehow they let the Nicheology Membership fall apart….at least in my opinion. I still maintained my membership but didn’t download products. I lost interest because you could tell something was going on. In fact, there was another sale of the membership and I didn’t know about it. Still my paypal account was charged….seems to me about a year. So to make a long story short, I paid for the nicheology membership for a year or so, never downloaded the products and was never reimbursed my monthly fees. I was really disappointed at the lack of response and help for getting my money back, but I did ignore the account for a year….even so, very poor support on their part.

Needless to say, I was pretty put off by the entire mess. I trusted Jimmy, even though the money went to him I wasn’t able to get my cash back. So I canceled and never opened an Nicheology email again. I started off my internet marketing ventures with Jimmy D Brown products and would still recommend him to anyone without hesitation…..I can only assume he didn’t get my email or his affiliate manager didn’t relay my situation to him or the partnership change caused my situation to be set on the back burner…..anyway, at the time I was miffed!

So….for the last year or two….maybe more, I ignored anything from Nicheology.

Well…..finally….I did open an email from Nicheology today to see what was going on with the membership and I was completely shocked! Seems as though the only person I harmed by not checking out the new Nicheology was myself :(

Seems a fellow by the name of Paul Evans is the new owner and he has really ramped up the membership. I’m going to check it out for myself to see if it really is all they say, sure looks good though. I would recommend you take a look if you’re interested in getting started on developing an online business!

I’ll report back, once I find out a little more on what’s going on with Nicheology!

Pay Per Click and Keyword Research

Pay per click is real money because it is offers an extremely important stream of traffic for just about every type of website out there. If you can get the right formula down for your business (the right combination of keywords, phrases, compelling text and the perfect bid (not too high and not too low), then you are sure to be profitable with PPC advertising.

The first step in pay per click is to do your keyword research. What this means is that you need to find the keywords that people are typing in when they are looking for the information that your business offers. So, if you own a jewelry business, the appropriate keywords may be diamond rings or gold earrings. Luckily, you don’t just need to guess what people are typing in. The search engines can tell you exactly what keywords your potential customers are typing in, and they do so for free. Your job is to make a list of these keywords and keyword phrases and use them in your advertisements.

Pay per click is real money when you understand what keywords you should be targeting. If you are just starting out, you should not be targeting the most competitive (expensive) keywords. This is a sure way to lose money right from the start. Again, your search engine tool will provide you with data about how competitive a keyword is. Choose the keywords that are relevant to your business that have a lower search volume. While it’s true that you won’t get as much traffic to your ad this way, you will also not be spending too much money on your advertisement. And you will start gaining some leads, customers and money. Once you have started to make a little profit, you can start re-investing your money into more competitive keywords.

Once you’ve picked some good uncompetitive keywords, it’s time to build your ads around them. This is where you can beat out the competition that is paying more for the same keyword that you are targeting. All you need to do is get into the “searcher’s” mind and figure out what you can say that would compel him/her to click on your ad versus someone elses. Good words to use are free, easy, quick, no-hassle, limited time offer. In this way, even if your ad is not appearing at the top of the page, it will catch the attention of the person who is searching for this information.

There is a lot of training on the internet which shows you how pay per click is real money. If you think it’s a waste of time, you need to think again. The search engines are here to stay so it’s time that you use them to your advantage by using the right keyword research tools and understanding keyword research. You can be sure that your competitors are doing just that!

Discover The Right ClickBank Affiliate Program

Wouldn’t you like to find the best ClickBank affiliate program? This is the goal of every new and experienced affiliate marketer and guess what, there really isn’t just one perfect affiliate program, but there are many good affiliate products just waiting for someone to step up and start promoting!  The correct way to start with affiliate marketing is to pick one of these “correct” affiliate products and stick with it until you learn some of the basics of affiliate marketing.  In the next couple of paragraphs we will take a look at some of the best ways to pick a product and start developing your affiliate marketing business.

One mistake most new affiliate marketers make is to look at hundreds of products/services all at once and try to figure out which ones are the best. This can bring a dangerous end to your affiliate marketing career. In the end, you can become overwhelmed and can’t make any decision at all so all of their time and effort has been wasted. Or. . .you start hopping around like a bunny rabbit and choose one affiliate program and don’t give it time before switching to another. You’ll quickly find this to become one of the biggest wastes of time and money.

Consider some of these ideas and guidelines for helping you find a Clickbank affiliate program that will work for you.

The first thing you want to do is to choose which niche you want to work in and look for a product/service  in Clickbank that would be appropriate for that niche. I suggest starting with  Clickbank because it is extremely easy and popular – you can search more affiliate marketplaces later on. There are many books available online that teach affiliate marketing and you should consider investing in a few of these to further your education at a level that will eliminate possible mistakes you might make, here’s a few to choose from:

Affiliate Marketing
Affiliorama #1 Afilliate Marketing Portal
Affiliate Elite: Affiliate Marketing Software

Pick one program that interests you and that is doing well in terms of popularity and gravity. Study and learn everything about the product. Find reviews about the product from many different sources if possible.

To start, it’s best to choose just one traffic-driving method to get people to this product and stick to it. Here are some of the more popular methods:
- Social media (i.e. MySpace.com, Facebook.com, Twitter)
- PPC – Pay Per Click Advertising
- Article marketing
- Web 2.0 (i.e. EzineArticles, Squidoo.com, HubPages.com GoArticles, etc.)
- Press releases
- Blogging

If you’re fairly new to affiliate marketing it’s a good idea to pick a product that has a built-in membership program which shows you how to market the product. It might cost you something to be a member, but you can evaluate it if you think the training offered will help you to make more profits or not. One of the best ways to promote any affiliate product or service is to buy, use and study the product. There is no substitute to actually having and knowing the product or service you are selling. Sometimes you’ll luck out if you ask the affiliate owner for review copy of the product…..just ask!

Look for programs that offer:
- insight into some “secret” niche markets
- Specific keywords of the niche market
- a product/service which can be customized to you (your name)
- Website banners that can be uploaded to your website or blog
- Ready-Made articles that you can change slightly and send to the various article directories
- Pre-prepared PPC campaign and emails for your list.

These membership programs can save you some time and money and help you start to generate profits more quickly.

Although picking a good product to promote is important, it isn’t as important as a consistent effort on your part. Pick a product and follow through the entire process of marketing and promoting that product. Understand that website traffic doesn’t happen overnight and you’ll have to work hard at understanding the process. It can be extremely frustrating and profitable at the same time…..just never, never give up!

Thoughts on Niche Profit Classroom

Niche Profit Classroom is a monthly membership that I belong to that provides 2 niche packages per month. That’s nothing new or exciting since there are many memberships offering PLR materials on a monthly basis. The difference with NPC is, the materials are high quality and well written materials. Maybe the best part is the systematic approach they have for getting your sites set up, developing traffic, building a list and selling your ebook.  The teaching, in the form of videos, monthly calls and forums is better than most….in fact, it’s one of the best I’ve experienced.

I do have a bad taste in my mouth from NPC. The founders, Adam and Allen are no place to be found. If I become part of a membership, the reason usually revolves around those who own it, sell it and work it! However, based on my experience, you’ll never talk to them or have access to them. They’re never in the forum. Their affiliate system just  plain sucks and their affiliate support sucks…..of course they claim they’re having problems, but I’ve never seen an email from any of the owners….just some affiliate support people. I’ve been trying for 3 weeks to get my affiliate account straightened out and trying to get my payments…..no luck yet!

This lack of personal touch is something that almost always happens when a program experiences success. Before a program becomes successful the owners practically beg you to get involved, you can talk to them and have full access to their email, voice and advice. As time goes on and the program becomes successful, the first thing that goes is their email address. They change their email address to a “NO Rely”, I really just hate that…….use every sales trick possible and then cut off contact with your members……..so….here we have a business that wants you to pay monthly for access to them and their expertise but they don’t want to be bothered by emails.

Next, the owners remove themselves from the day to day operations and hire an affiliate manager or tell a handful of members that they are the “Designated Forum Mangers”…..again, you read a salespage that offered you the best product and product service since sliced bread….next, they have some success, they like the money but don’t want to deal with any of the members…..you know, too many questions….just too many problems.

Back assward approach to doing business if you ask me!

Despite the problems and my obvious aggravation at the moment, I still would recommend Niche Profit Classroom to anyone interested in learning about Niche Marketing. Heck, that affiliate link you just saw….I don’t even know if the stupid thing works!…..because, I can’t get timely support from their affiliate manager. Still, I suggest you give NPC a shot if you want to learn about niche marketing and how to find a niche, pick a niche and then develop it with your own book…..because their system is really second to none. It could be that you would learn everything you need in a month, maybe 2 months or you could decide to try using the programs available. There really is a ton of content, as much as I despise their support, the content and tools are excellent. If you stay long enough to learn and understand the core concepts of niche marketing you’ll be way ahead of everyone else…..in particular, their teaching and tools on keyword research are the best I’ve seen to date.

Anyway, I wanted to share one of my responses over at NPC.

One of the members at Niche Profits Classroom was wondering about a new site he set up. I couldn’t help but make a few comments:

I’ve finished my herb gardening site. It’s found at

www.herbgardeningsecrets.org

Please have a look, and put it into your listings. Any feedback would be welcome.

Thanks.

Hi Danny

Nice looking site….I like your header image.

If I may, I’d like to comment on your background color. I have a 21 inch screen, most people have larger screens these days so one sees a lot of background when looking at a salespage.

Your fluorescent green color is really hard to look at….at least for me. I would consider toning it down a little. Notice how the gray background on this forum page isn’t overwhelming.

Regarding your traffic.

I assume you submitted articles to ezinearticles.com and the articles on your site aren’t duplicate. I see you don’t have any secondary or additional articles. New “unique” Content always attracts more traffic. So…try adding an article a week! If you have time, rewrite that article and submit it to the article directories.

I’m new to NPC, however, I’ve been doing this for quite a while. So please consider my advice just my thoughts and do with them whatever you feel necessary.

I think the niche packs from NPC are nicely put together, however, there are a lot of other people doing the same thing you are. I just finished putting up a train site, and upon doing some keyword research I was surprised to see how many NPC packs were out there competing for the same keywords. I agree with our elusive leaders, Adam and Allen…that most people won’t take action. However, maybe due to our economic times, I find my field very competitive…even for the so called “money words”

Again, just my opinion, in order to get the action you want on the “money words’ you are using, you are going to have to do more than just submit a few articles. You need backlinks….the more the better.

You can get some pretty decent backlinks by setting up some web 2.0 properties, such as Hub pages, Squidoo, Blogger and Wordpress.com. These are free, I reuse my existing content (articles)….which isn’t the best way…..but I get some links pointing back to my site. Don’t spend a lot of time on these sites because they are normally figured as throw away sites when you use them for this purpose.

Something else you might want to consider is to go over the the warriorforum.com and go to the WSO section, stands for Warrior Special Offers, and look for people offering links packages. You can find some pretty nice backlink packages for a variety of prices…..but it will help you jump start your site. If it works, purchasing more packages.

I guess my point is, if you want traffic to your NPC site, you will need to consistently work on driving traffic to that site. I know for a fact that these sites have to “age”, that is, over time Google will look differently if there is some sort of consistent work being done on the site over the next year.

Hope I didn’t ramble too much….and wish you much success,

Scott

When trying to create a successful ppc search engine marketing campaign there are several aspects you need to keep in mind

  • Determining Your Niche
  • Finding Effective Keywords
  • Writing Your Ad
  • Testing Your Ad

Creating an effective ppc marketing campaign is a combination of art and science.  Quite frankly, anyone trying to jump into ppc marketing without much study is very foolish because of the great amount of competition. With that said, if you’re one of the smart ones and invest in educating your self on how to create effective ppc search engine marketing campaigns then your chances of success greatly increase. There are some ppc videos and I suggest a great ppc keyword tool because of the instruction that comes with it….. please consider purchasing these things….. also, if you really want to learn from the best check out Perry Marshall’s PPC Course and marterial on ppc marketing, he’s the guy the guru’s go to!

PPC search engine marketing is one of the fastest growing marketing campaigns on the internet today. It is a way for you as a small business owner to attract customers to your site quickly. PPC is basically a set of keywords that you have bid on with click agencies to use on your site. Each time a customer clicks on your link it will cost you so you need to be sure you have a site that will appeal to the customer so you do not lose out on possible revenue. There are also other factors that you will need to keep in mind when you are creating your PPC marketing campaign.

Niche

First of all and probably one of the most important pieces of knowledge is to know what your niche.  In order to know what your niche may be you will need to know what search term seekers are looking for when they search in the search engines. When you come up with as many keyword phrases that describe your site or product, this is one of the handiest tools or methods that you could understand. When you have your basic keyword phrases and words set you are then ready to use the internet to find even more keywords and phrases that will describe your site or product. The more keywords you are able to find for your site, the higher the chance of you appearing high on the search engines will be.  There is also free software available on the internet that will help you in creating your keywords for your site, however, a tool such as Keyword Research Pro will provide, not only the keywords, but the teaching you need to understand how to use and pick the proper keywords for your PPC Search Engine Marketing campaigns.

Keys To Successful PPC Search Engine Marketing

Keywords

When you are ready to bid on your keywords for your PPC Search Engine Marketing Marketing campaign the more popular keywords will cost more,  instead try using variations of low competition words for you to bid on. The low competition words cost less and are most generally just as effective if they are used correctly. The best tool that will help you with finding your variations of low competition keywords is a keyword analyzer. The keyword analyzer such as Keyword Research Pro because it is a great tool because they will not only give you a list of alternative keywords to use but it will also display the number of times that keyword combination was searched on average.  This will give you a good idea of what you should bid without going over your PPC marketing budget. It will also allow you to bid on keywords and phrases that have not been used.

Your Ad

The next step to a successful PPC marketing campaign is your advertisement ad  Most of your PPC Search Engine Marketing advertisers only allow you a set amount of words which will  consist of only 125 words so that they do not appear to lengthy to the potential visitor.  You will need to take this into careful consideration when you are creating your ad….. so,  you do not have a lot of room to give a lot of information about your product, thus the key is to give the main points in an engaging way. You want to be able to catch your reader’s attention and make them click on your link. The more engaging your ad is the more apt your visitor will click on your link. PPC Search Engine Marketing teachers and mentors such as Perry Marshall teach everything you need to know about creating an effective PPC marketing campaign, they can literally teach you how to make thousands of dollars using PPC because they’ve been doing and teaching ppc it since the beginning of Google Adwords inception!

Test Ads

Once you have created your idea it is a good idea to test it. A good way to do this is to write two different ads and run them side by side and see which ad gets the most clicks or sales. Once you have found which ad will work better for you in general try and different ad and see if your results are even better. You should keep doing this till you find an ad that is getting the most results for you. One you have found the ad you are going to use you can begin your PPC marketing campaign.

These are just a few of the things that you can do to create a successful PPC marketing campaign. If you follow these steps in order you will have a successful campaign that will gain you lots of revenue.
