Happy Holidays to All!(Sorry, couldn't resist the lights!) I live in Northern Illinois, the wood stove is fired up. We have a little dusting of snow and the river is starting to freeze. Winter is here and I have some really good stuff just for you!
Well, I've broken all the rules. Conventional wisdom says, "keep your ezine/newsletter short"! That's because the attention span of the normal person is so short. Not my readers! I know you want content, and content that matters. As I prepared this issue, more and more timely material came in that I thought you should be made aware of. So bookmark this page, and make sure you come back because you'll pick up some valuable information and resources. Boy, the Christmas holidays and New Year just seemed to have exploded onto the scene. I seems like two weeks ago I was sitting out on the pier watching the boats go by. If time is the most important asset we have, it seems as though I'm losing that battle :) Never seems to be enough time to accomplish all I want or need to! If time is a problem and you don't get all the way thru this, please, for your benefit check out: If you're like me, you belong to more than one newsletter or mailing list. December has been a month full of activity. There's so many things going on I can't seem to keep them all straight.
I've heard and read of some internet marketers being upset with the multitude of mailings being recieved. I belong to one list and I must get 2 emails a day, just from one publisher! That's OK though, there is usually good content and I want to be informed. Sure there's a lot of hype. Just remember there are many marketers online with many varying opinions. The need for someone to hype a product can be obnoxious and should throw up red flags. You and I know that we're smart enough to determine whether something is of value or not and don't need to be threatened or bullied into the sale. Be patient friends! If you've ever subscribed to someone who doesn't deliver or whose content is less than qualified---unsubscribe! |
I'm not an expert, I can only tell you what I've learned and how I feel about issues. Any single issue of a newsletter, mailing or ezine is rarely so full of meaty material that you need to memorize it all. In the days of old there was a process called "seperating the wheat from the chaff" The wheat obviously was the object of intention. The chaff was the husking and material supporting the wheat kernal. The object was to seperate the two. Usually the way they did it was to toss the wheat and chaff into the air and let the win blow away the chaff since it was lighter than the wheat. Now for the lesson :) There's a lot of chaff in what we read, our job is to seperate the worthless material from the kernels of truth that we can use to build ourselves and our businesses. If I can gain your trust, I'd like to help you choose the correct material needed for your online degree:) Item#1---Copywriting Call Item #2----Urgent Santa Needs Help! Item #3----Resource Page Item #4----12 Days of Christmas Please, for your sake, go to http://www.ScottParat.com/suggests/12days-2004.htm you won't believe what you can pick up FREE. There is a ton of material, ebooks, audio, software, just a ton of resources. If you don't go there and at least check it out and find out latter what you could have gotten---you'll be very upset at yourself. I think he's on Day 7, however, you can still pick up the past 6 or 7 days of material. Just look. That's all I ask--look!
Item #5-----Affiliate Cloaking Video The plain truth regarding affiliate links, if you are not doing something to cloak, hide and/or redirect you will absolutely be ripped off! It's not hard to do, email me and I'll give you a hand. Item #6--------Marketing Grinch Yes, I'm talking about THE GRINCH. Sure, he may have tried to steal Christmas last year, but remember that his heart has grown 3 SIZES since then. For the next 24 hours the Grinch is giving you an opportunit*y to pick up close to $1200 worth of our I know I'm forgetting something! Item #6 Item #7----->Blogging & RSS NicheologySome of you guys know that I'm in Jimmy D Brown's Nicheology program. I've been working hard at getting sites put together trying to exploit small niche markets. By this time next year I would like to have 50 sites marketing 50 different ebooks. If they were to do extremely poorly and average $100 a month each, I'd be satisfied (as a start). I don't think that's too lofty a goal. As a nichelology member your membership provides the materials for you to produce at least 2 books a month, more if your ambitious. I think Frank Kern has a goal of 50 sites doing $1,500 to $2,000 a month. You do the math. The scarey part is that some of his sites are doing more than $2000 a month. If you've never heard of the Nicheology program. Go over to the nicheology site and look around. If you are the least bit interested, sign up, because there is a limit of 1500 for the membership. Its almost always full, if you sign up, you'll get on a waiting list. I highly recommend it! ------------------------------------------------- What's Scott Been Up To!
